About AllOfficials
Our Mission
AllOfficials exists to make officiating simple, fair and rewarding.
We connect Event Organisers with qualified officials and we give officials a clear path to paid work, recognised qualifications and real support. No gatekeeping, no guesswork, no last-minute panic.
Our mission is to create a viable landscape for officials globally. Inconsistency in officiating is a common problem around the world, and we want to empower everyone in this space, particularly Sports Event Organisers and Officials, with three key principles:
- Simplicity, it does what it says.
- Looks good, a platform people are proud to use.
- Works, reliably every time.
We aim to scout officials around the globe and build clear pathways from grassroots to elite sport.
Our Achievements
Since 2016, AllOfficials has grown into a platform that delivers for officials and for the events that need them:
- 318+ Officials
- 17,500+ Jobs for Officials
- 9,320+ Events Supported
- £45 Average pay per official
- 95% Success rate
- 1,090+ New officials qualified
Why AllOfficials
We’re not asking you to take our word for it. Here’s what backs it up:
- A live, working platform, running since 2016 and matching officials to real events.
- Verified qualifications: every official’s certificates go through approval before jobs unlock.
- Secure payments through Stripe, paid directly to officials’ bank accounts.
- Role-specific ratings: officials are rated separately for each role they hold, not one blunt score.
- A partnership with the London Basketball Association (LBA): 83% of LBA members find volunteer or paid work within 3 months of getting certified with LBA. Members also gain access to nationally recognised CPD training, including First Aid, and discounted DBS checks.
- A commitment to safeguarding, with DBS and safeguarding requirements built into the platform.
Our Social Mission
Sport is a great way to empower communities and individuals and address societal needs.
But officiating has a problem, and it’s not just about finding enough referees.
The workforce is ageing: the average age of sports officials is now 56.68, up from 53 in 2017 (NASO, 2023).
And when officiating fails, people leave competitive sport.
We see officiating differently. It’s not a hobby. It’s a great first job, one of the few you can:
- Do anywhere in the world
- Do for most of your life
- Fit around study, care or other commitments
Who we’re targeting
- People who need extra income: flexible work, paid per event, no fixed hours.
- NEET young people (not in education, employment or training): a genuine route into work with real earnings and a recognised qualification.
- Players: we believe players should automatically be enrolled as officials, and we’ll make this the norm over time.
- Women: officiating has been male-led, and we’re building the pathways to get the balance.
- Disabled people: underrepresented at every level, and we’re removing the barriers that keep it that way.
- Communities that have been left out: if officiating is going to reflect the people it serves, it has to include them.
On representation: officiating should look like the sport it serves. Right now it doesn’t. That’s not a slogan for us, it’s the gap we exist to close.
We’re not just filling a shortage. We’re building a workforce that reflects the communities it serves.
Our Steering Group
Our Steering Group is made up of community members who review the officiating landscape and advise on decisions affecting Event Organisers and Officials.
It keeps AllOfficials connected to the communities we serve, and keeps us mission first.
The Steering Group meets twice a year.
What they do
